Venus in Wanderland: Ignite Adventure and Freedom

Venus in Wanderland: Ignite Adventure and Freedom

Ahhh… Yes. The cosmic winds have shifted yet again, with Venus now fully in Sagittarius. Take a nice deep breath in relief as eclipse season is over (for now) and life begins to lighten (at least emotionally) as we transition into Sagittarius season aka holiday season in the western world.
The time of the year where we gather, celebrate, and rejoice in community is cosmically adept, as Sagittarius is the jovial sign of the zodiac. It loves a good party, to mingle and radically express. Thus, with Venus already there, our relationships now benefit from a surge in external, light-hearted energy, where we can stress less and celebrate more.
We receive the new moon in Sagittarius on November 23rd, beginning this new lunar cycle into expansion.
As I've mentioned in the past posts, if you've integrated the eclipse work of releasing the toxic relationship patterns that came forth, then this new lunar cycle brings you wealth of relating. If not, then accessing the relational abundant ease will be slightly more challenging.
Just because this energy is generally optimistic, it doesn’t come without its hiccups. Take this new cycle to have honest conversations with your loved ones. Integrate your previous experiences with honesty, which are Sagittarian virtues. The Venus -Mercury (communication) conjunction facilitates this. You'll have more energy to feel free and experience that freedom within yourself, so that you can bring a more lighthearted come from in your conversation.
It's the season to check-in with your lover AND with yourself and explore your wounds together, your dreams. Discuss where you want to go in life, what beliefs have shifted for you, and what new beliefs you would like to create together.
This is an opportunity to start fresh and commence the process of wrapping a year of change on a high note. However,  be mindful of how you spend your energy. With Mars being in retrograde in Gemini into next year and the opposition with Venus happening  at the end of the month, annoyances and arguments are likely to arise in your relationships, particularly over differences in viewpoints and ways of doing things.
Stay connected to your breath. It also never hurts to keep the passion, connection, and fire alive with romance!
NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS EMBODIMENT RITUALS
Sagittarius is connected to the hips, thighs, sciatic nerves, and arteries. The cosmic key here lies in embracing excitement and a sense of adventure to keep the spice alive. The suggested crystals to work with focus on supporting blood flow and energetic circulation for stimulation, while accessing compassion in communication.
Suggested crystals to work with:

  • Bloodstone: Cleanses the blood & aids circulation in the body. Promotes physical & creative energy. Gives courage & heals emotional wounds. An immune stimulator.
  • Fire Quartz: Facilitates deep understanding between lovers. Removes barriers during communication. Dissolves imbalances, boosts self-esteem, self-worth & self-confidence. Enhances Vitality.
The following rituals can be done solo or in partnership. Where appropriate, create a sacred space in your playroom by lighting candles, burning incense, setting up an altar with your yoni wands and yoni eggs, & playing devotional music.
New Moon Candle Ritual: New moons are always the time to set your intentions for manifestation on the next lunar cycle. In your sacred space, take a moment to get still, and in your body. Create your altar for the new moon, placing on it sacred items, including your yoni egg & wands. Grab a candle, preferably red or white and glass-encased if possible, some essential that activate the element of fire (such as clove, ginger, orange, lemon, cinnamon, cassia, think warming oils), some cinnamon cloves or cinnamon powder, and a nail or sharp pin (to use to carve into the candle). Get in your body. You will be diving into a journaling session to gain clarity on what you are calling in this new lunar cycle using the following prompts. A great way to get in your body before settling down to journal is performing the "Move Your Hips!" embodiment practice below.
Once you have grounded in your body, you are going to dress your ritual candle. Grab the nail, pin, or another small sharp object to carve with, and poke four holes into the top of the candle in a clockwise motion. Then you are going to drop a couple of drops of the essential oils onto the top of the candled. If you are using a taper candle, then you can drop the oil onto the sides. Rub the oil into the candle in a clockwise motion. As you do so, make this in an intentional prayerful practice. Drop into the frequency of this new cycle, and into the frequency of what you are calling in to your life. Lastly, you are going to sprinkle some of the cinnamon powder on your candle. The oils and candles promote the energy of fire, abundance, and passion associated with Sagittarian energy.
Before lighting the candle and beginning your journaling session, say the following prayer:

Through the darkness I find universal light,
May the fire in my heart burn ever so bright

Now light your candle and begin journaling. Prompts:
  • What inspires you to activate your life dreams?
  • What does abundance and wealth mean to you? What do they look like in your life?
  • How have your beliefs shifted in the past year? In the past 5 years? What beliefs would you like to shift?
  • Are you holding on to any beliefs that aren't serving you?
  • Where have you taken hasty action? Where can you slow down?
  • What has your relationship to a higher power looked like in the past? What does it look like now?
  • What is freedom to you?
Once you feel complete with your journaling exercise, you are going to grab you  on a piece of loose paper, create a list of statements in the present, or affirmations, of what you are wanting to manifest during this lunar cycle and in your life. You can pull from what came through in your journaling exercise, or you can pull in new affirmations. Once you have these set, read your affirmations out loud to the fire and then burn your paper, releasing your affirmation and intentions to the fire. Carefully do so and ensure you have a cauldron to catch the ashes of your intentions.
Thank your guides and close the circle, leaving the candle on until it finishes burning `
Move your hips! Activate the heat in your body with this embodiment practice. In a seated position, move your torso in a circular motion. Keep your pelvis rooted as you spin around it. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, sighing audibly on every exhale. Switch circling the other way too. Do this movement for at least 10 minutes, longer if you can. Then move into a "Breath of Fire" exercise. If you don't know breath of fire, a quick search on YouTube will show you how. Do this breath for about 5 minutes. End your practice with alternating nostril breath for about 3 minutes (search this one too if you don't know it!).
Travel Time: There is a reason why people love to travel during the holidays. Sagittarius energy is all about the adventure and exploration of unknown worlds. Kick your dates up twenty notches by taking an impromptu adventure to somewhere you haven't been. Spark up the romance with your partner and travel together.
